State Assembly

The Second Quarter Assembly will be April 3-5 2009 at
the Clarion Hotel in Murfreesboro. See your General Service
Representative for more information.

International and State Conventions

It is never to early to plan ahead. Last year in Feb. we started preparing for the South East Regional Forum held in Nov. Before we knew it was over.

We can plan ahead this year for 2 events.

The 1st would be the 75th International Convention to be held in San Antonio, Texas, July 4th weekend 2010. Yes, 2010. Long way off - however, Our General Service Office will be reserving rooms starting in August this year and since their are only 35,000 available you better plan early.

Our 2nd event is the Tennessee State Convention hosted by District 4. Your Convention will be held Sept. 4 - Sept. 6 (Labor Day Weekend) at the Glenstone Lodge in Gatlinburg.

For more information on this event see your Group G. S. R. or contact Holly at 865-681-6426 or Debbie 865-696-9162.
Don't be shut out of either of these events.
Peter O'n.

Chairman's Message

Have you seen our on-line edition yet? It is available at ETIAA.BLOGSPOT.COM any local information is available there. However the information we get has to come from you.
We are going to start up the Bridging The Gap program again. Too do this we need your help. We need to form a Committee to figure a way to make it work in East Tennessee. Any one can help just contact me at my e-mail address pon1023256@aol.com using inter-group as subject and I will get your information to our Committee head Lee. T. Remember our 5th Tradition and 12th step.

At our last meeting the inter-group reps present (was yours there?) recommended that the birthdays could be listed in 2 different ways. In keeping with our 4th Tradition each group has it's own choice. You can list them with years of sobriety for the previous month or actual birth day for the current month. (See this months birthday list). Listing them for the current month lets other area members know when people they haven't seen are celebrating and they might want to show up to join in the celebration or just give a call.

Our next meeting will be Sunday, March 1st at the ROCKFORD Fellowship hall 1:30 p.m.

Our 7th Tradition tells us we are self-supporting. Inter-group is supported from Group donations.

In this time of a bad economy We are also affected by donations.
Since our fiscal year started in July the following groups have contributed financially
to Inter-group. I am not putting the amounts if you want to know how much YOUR group contributed e-mail me. Also if your group is not listed we have received no donation from July to December.
